Some of you may have received an important message, yesterday, from Laurentian University, regarding their commencement of court-supervised proceedings for a formal restructuring under federal legislation.
While NOSM is associated with Laurentian University through an affiliation agreement, NOSM is a stand-alone legal entity (registered not-for-profit corporation) and maintains an independent budget, administration, and a Board of Directors.
From what we understand, Laurentian will continue its day-to-day operations while it restructures and NOSM students registered at Laurentian will not be affected during this court-appointed review. For more information, please visit Laurentian University’s FAQ page.
