Get your Alx-Opoly Game!

ALX-Opoly
ALX-opoly is a local twist on a world-famous board game. The Chamber of Commerce collaborated with local businesses to create the game and they tried to be as creative as possible, said The Chamber ALX's Lovie Patish.

The game showcases 22 Alexandria landmarks, including George Washington’s Masonic National Memorial, Cameron Run Park, the Carlyle Lions, Mount Vernon Avenue and George Washington’s Mount Vernon. Pewter player pieces include the Town Crier, a construction hat, the Tall Ship Providence and more.

"Roll the dice and travel to historical landmarks from the Waterfront to the West End. No matter which space you land on, you’ll see how this city charmed residents and visitors from around the world. Explore one of our nation’s most fascinating cities from the comfort of your living room. An Alexandria themed spin to your favorite board game!" according to the Chamber.

The game is available for purchase through the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber ALX) website. Make sure to get yours before they sell out!

Carlyle Seeks Input for New Shuttle Routes

The Carlyle Shuttle will be returning on March 1st. Although everyone is not back to work yet, there are patrons in the area that can use it to get to and from the Metro/VRE and/or around Carlyle. This also gives us an opportunity to try out new shuttle routes.

The current shuttle route is highlighted in yellow. We’d like your input on where you’d like to see new stops or if you’d be interested in riding the shuttle if it went in a reverse route.

Please email thecarlylecommunity@carlylecouncil.com with your suggestions.
