Rejoicing in salvation
I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"
Revelation 7:9 - 10 - NKJV
The apostle John in the spirit saw the saints in Heaven who had come through the great tribulation. They had something they wanted to say. No matter what country or ethnic origin or language grouping the saints in this huge gathering had arrived from they all wanted to declare the same testimony before God's throne. It was one that summed up their life experience as Christians on earth. They cried out, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" Rev.7:11-17.
The testimony of these saints in Heaven was that they had known salvation! They had received salvation in their lives. They knew salvation as manifestly from God and the Lamb. It was from God, our triune God, alone. Salvation belongs to God. Salvation is the word the Bible uses to describe God's all encompassing work of rescue and deliverance. What of this salvation have you experienced? When you came to Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, it was a spiritual experience first of all. You received eternal salvation. Now, if you are walking by faith in Christ Jesus, you have an experience of daily salvation whenever you are saved out of the adversities of life! Act.4:12.
Whatever salvation you require is going to be found in God! God is the One to commune with if you are in want of deliverance or rescue. Salvation belongs to God! The rescues you need in this life show up from all kinds of directions, on all kinds of vehicles and by the help of all sorts of people but the source of your salvation is God. Look to the Lord! Seek the Lord! Call upon Him in prayer! Psa.34:4-7.
Stand before the throne and see your source of salvation!
