Announcing our 2021 series of Virtual Yard sales.
A joint project of the Carlington Community Chaplaincy and the Ottawa Y Service club.
How it will work!
Both the Chaplaincy and the Y Service club have received donations of items for use in raising funds. Some of the higher value items were available in the 2020 Virtual Auction when we raised $1500 for the work of the Chaplaincy.
We currently have a good selection of items, mostly under $30, and we plan to offer these for sale online. They are either new or gently used and normally would have been sold at a gift table at the annual Chaplaincy dinner in November.
Starting in February, we will provide those who register a page of available items, with photos and prices shown. This will be shared by email and posted on the Chaplaincy web site
The actual sale will start at 9 a.m. each Saturday morning and the first purchase offer we receive will be accepted and the item will be withdrawn.
Payment can be made by e transfer or a cheque provided before or at pick up at the end of the month, from the Chaplaincy office. Use yservice@primus.ca to make payments. Cheques should be made out to the Ottawa Y Service club.
If you need the item as a gift for a special occasion, we can arrange an earlier pickup date. Otherwise, we will ask you to wait to collect all your purchase in one visit.

If you have already supported the virtual silent auction or the plant sales of the Y Service club, you are already registered to receive the weekly listings.
Chaplaincy Board and Y Service club members and friends are also registered.

Registrants will also receive a spreadsheet for each week that lists all the items with prices.
The Y Service International is a Christian service movement that works with the World YMCA in 70 countries and the Ottawa club is one of the supporting groups listed with the Chaplaincy.
