Virtual Open House - Meet and Greet with Commissioner Hardesty

Tuesday, March 9
6:00 - 7:30 pm

Commissioner Hardesty recently announced that the Office of Community and Civic Life will provide services to community members and neighborhood associations served by Southwest Neighborhoods, Inc. (SWNI). Neighborhood Association members are invited to an Open House with Commissioner Hardesty hosted on Zoom. Registration closes on Friday, March 5th at noon.

On Wednesday, March 3, City Council will consider authorizing the addition of two coordinator positions in the Office of Community and Civic Life and a grant agreement with a nonprofit organization to provide liability insurance coverage for neighborhood associations and place-based community groups in Southwest Portland.

BPS Shelter to Housing Continuum

The Shelter to Housing Continuum (S2HC) Project is updating city codes to address the homeless crisis. The ACNA Board will consider submitting testimony for the City Council hearing on March 17.

Winter Weather Disaster

Thick ice covering a branch and snow on the ground

ACNA experienced a weather disaster in February. The heavy, thick ice coating resulted in countless broken branches and uprooted large trees. Residents were without power for several days.
