Wednesday, March 10 A Libertarian Walks into a Bear - 7:00pm Live via Zoom - Presented by the Gleason Library - In 2004, the Free Town Project launched a plan to take over Grafton, NH, and completely eliminate its government. Public funding shrank, and the anything-goes atmosphere soon caught the attention of Grafton’s neighbors: the bears. Citizens ignored hunting laws and regulations about food disposal. The bears smelled food. Author Matthew Hongoltz-Hetling presents the story, as told in his book. Call the Library 978-369-4898 or Link here to register.

Friday, March 12 Antarctica: Travels at the End of the World - 1:00pm Live via Zoom - Although an ice sheet covers 99% of the land, the exposed areas along the coast nourish a wealth of tiny plants and sea creatures which in turn support the world’s greatest concentrations of wildlife in the sea, on land, and in the air. The lecturer, Barry Pell, traveled by ship to Antarctica for two weeks. Based on his travels on the sea and excursions onto the land, he will discuss and show his photography of this most magnificent and unique continent. Call the COA 978-371-2895 to register.
