Lakeland Public Library will be closed February 22 and 23


...to begin a two-phase construction project. 

Phase 1 of the project will renovate the adult services areas of the building, replacing lighting, ceiling fixtures, HVAC system, and ductwork. This phase will include the creation of the Lakeland History and Culture Center within the library. The second phase of the project, to begin after the completion of Phase 1, will renovate the youth services areas and meeting room space in the building.

Florida Citrus Crate Labels

The Florida Citrus Label Collection consists of more than 200 labels acquired from a variety of sources and represents growers from Lakeland, the rest of Polk County, and the rest of the state of Florida. The labels in this collection represent a small sample of a colorful period in the history of the Florida citrus industry.
