The Reopening Committee greets you in this New Year and prays that all is well with you and your families. This past year we all faced numerous challenges, which impacted each of our daily lives in unique ways.
 
Nevertheless, the Reopening Committee would like to reassure you that we are working diligently to address the issue of safely reopening our Church doors once again for full worship and in-person participation in church activities.  
 
The task to reopen for worship services and other activities is a complex process with many components.  We want to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of our members and attendees.  Our primary focus is to take the necessary precautions to ensure the appropriate safety measures for our members, our church staff, and our visitors are in place. 
 
Thank you to the members for your continued prayers as we work to develop guidelines and procedures for church operations, which comply with local and federal health guidelines and regulations.   We are working closely with input from our public safety and public health community partners to ensure we have the most recent and relevant information around COVID-19, Testing, and Vaccinations.  We are working with stakeholders within the Church Council to ensure that our members have those updates and information about services and events at Peoples Church. 
 
The reopening efforts of Peoples Church will take time and take place in a manner that recognizes the interest of the many we serve.  All of us feel the absence of in-person fellowship since we were last able to worship in-person in March of 2020.  
 
Virtual worship services, bible study, church school, Vacation Bible School, board, and committee meetings are just some of the ways we continue to remain connected as a congregation during these unique times.  Yet we know and recognize that it is not the same. 
 
The church will remain in Phase One until more information is available regarding the impact of the new variants.  We ask for your continued prayers as we work on your behalf to reopen our doors.  The Reopening Committee is committed to the safety, health, and well-being, of our Church and its continued progress and growth.
