It's been a while since I have been in touch, so I thought it would be great to give you an update as to what has been going on. Apart from providing morning teas for my corporate clients, I have also been doing a fair amount of catering for private functions.
I was thrilled to be asked to provide the sweet and savoury catering for a few special High Tea events recently. One was for a 21st birthday and the others were for two 80th Birthdays. Such fun! Watch this space for a more formalised "High Tea" website page.
It was fabulous to be able to work out special menus for each of the events. There was a selection of afternoon tea sandwiches and mini savoury items. Here are some of the items I provided:
Marinated Cucumber Finger Sandwiches
Smoked Salmon and Lemon Herb Cream Cheese and Rocket Pinwheels
Creamy Egg and Cress Finger Sandwiches
Mini Cherry Tomato and Ricotta Tartlet
Afternoon tea sandwiches and mini cherry tomato and ricotta tartlets.
There was also a section of various mini sweet items which included:
Homemade Chocolate Eclairs with a Vanilla Cream Custard (YUM!)
Mini Lemon Tarts with Creme Fraiche and Lemon Zest
Mini Chocolate Brownies with Strawberry, Cream and Grated Chocolate
Mini Vanilla Custard Tarts with Mixed Berries
Scones with Jam and Cream
Chocolate brownie squares dressed with strawberries, cream and grated chocolate and mini lemon tarts with creme fraiche and Lemon zest.
A selection of sweet and savoury items.
Lemon yoghurt cake with a beautiful floral cake topper and mini savoury blinis and crostinis.

At this time of year, I also make up my years supply of Homemade Zucchini Pickle with zucchini's from my garden. I use the pickle in my club sandwiches and I serve it with my frittatas.
Baking Gift Boxes have also been very popular over the last month. The baking comes in a box which is tied up with pretty ribbons and a I can write your personalised message to go with it. Delivery is available.
I have also been trying out a number of vegan bakingrecipes and I'm in the process of doing some testing of gluten free beef sausage rolls!!! The gluten free sausage rolls have had the thumbs up from the first round of testing, but I will keep you posted.
