Mark your calendar, as we resume our concert series for the new year. Tuesday, February 23 at 6pm we will welcome Kyra McGuirk in concert on Zoom and Facebook live. Kyra brings 15 years of contemporary worship experience, but you will recognize her because she sang in the Ridglea choir while she attended TCU. This is a concert you won't want to miss.
All our concerts are free, but this one will be used to raise donations for our community partners Refugee Services.

The vaccine is now becoming available in our community for first responders, those over 65 and those with underlying conditions.
If your doctor thinks this is safe for you, this is a great way to protect yourself and our community. If this is you, you can check with your doctor to get signed up or you can register here:
|
|
We know that this continues to be a tough time. Consider how you can help each other. There are lots of ways you can help!
You can call members of our church 65 and older who might need help and help them get registered for or driven to their vaccine appointment, you can provide food, meals and prayers to our members who currently have COVID, and you can always wear your mask and socially distant to help the most vulnerable.
If you want to do any of these things and need help, contact Allison ( allison@ridgleachristian.org)

Starting this week we have a new Ridglea podcast called, A New Church for a New Day! Every other week our Ridglea pastors will join with the pastors at Community Christian Church and South Hills Christian Church to imagine together how God is calling us to be the church this day!
Every other week on the podcast we will explore the scriptures you will hear preached on Sunday mornings and the ones we will study at our Wednesday night Bible Study. We will listen to the scriptures to hear what they might be telling us about what it means to live as faithful people! We will listen to each other as well. The pastors on the podcasts are different races, genders, ages and come from different backgrounds and experiences. We will listen for how the Spirit is speaking through scripture, through our neighbors and through our lives to guide us to be the church today!
You can find the podcasts coming out each Monday morning on our website or you can subscribe on Itunes!

The road to recovery or many of our neighbors will be long. Please consider helping when and how you can. Our ministry partners at Presbyterian Night Shelter and Week of Compassion are helping meet immediate needs.

Donate to our Will Be Fed Bags.
We are always taking items to contribute to our Will Be Fed Bags. Each bag includes a protein items (nuts, peanut butter cracker, beef jerky, pop top shelf stable meats), salty snacks (individual packed pretzels, chips, crackers), sweet snacks (individual packed cookies, candies, fruit snacks, etc), a fruit item, a water bottle, and a kind note.
Drop them off on Pastor Allison’s porch or contact a pastor to find a time to drop them off at the church. Thanks for your help in this ministry with our neighbors!
