The Two Fridas – livestreamed


Back in September Balbir Singh Dance Company and Billingham International Folklore Festival of World Dance joined forces to create a beautiful performance celebrating the life and work of two of the most significant artists of the 20th century – Frida Kahlo and Amrita Sher-Gil.

Now, in a groundbreaking digital collaboration with Helmsley Arts Centre, The Two Fridas has been reimagined by Balbir Singh Dance Company for livestreaming.

The Two Fridas will be streamed live as part of #WinterWatchlist over the coming weekend:

You can also book to see the show for up to a week after the live performance.

Bringing their talents to the first livestream performance of the work will be BSDC dancers Abirami Eswar, Kimberley Hardy and Erica Mulkern accompanied by live music.

The 90-minute show is directed by Balbir Singh and produced by Olga Maloney (BIFF), with an original score by Joe Harris.
