Love Alberta Forests campaign shares pride of forest industry
Forestry is an integral part of the Grande Prairie economy and community, and it’s evident when you take a walk through Muskoseepi and smell the sweet scent of fresh cut lumber drifting over from Canfor.
Approximately 40,000 Albertans are employed in the forest industry and over 70 Alberta communities benefit economically. Here in Grande Prairie, we are home to four major operators that employ nearly 1,500 people in the region.
To highlight the importance of the industry, we want to share the Love Alberta Forest campaign from Alberta Forest Products Association. The campaign focuses on the positive impact of forests on our environment and culture, and what the industry does to ensure forest health and maintain the renewable resource for generations to come.
Visit loveabforests.com/ to learn more about our forests and the industry.
