Life Quote from Lutherans For Life - “God controlled your salvation from start to finish. He gave you faith in Baptism and strengthens faith through the Word. You can trust that He will continue to keep control of your life because you rest in the palm of His loving hand. Stand firm because God is in control.” Rev. Peter Sulzle, St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls, Minnesota – A Life Quote from Lutherans For Life  • www.lutheransforlife.org

Issues, etc. -  Sacred music for the season of Lent - "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross,” “In the Cross of Christ I Glory,” “My Song Is Love Unknown,” “A Lamb Goes Uncomplaining Forth.”  You can listen to sacred music for the Lenten season 24/7 at lutheranpublicradio.org, TuneIn, Amazon Echo, Google Home and the Lutheran Public Radio mobile app.

LCMS Foundation - Certain assets we hold, things like 401(k)s, IRAs or even annuities can carry a tax burden not related to a federal estate tax. These special accounts have never been taxed, and so when money is withdrawn, either in life or through inheritance, there will not be an estate tax but an income tax event.  If you have never discussed the taxation of your assets, you may be missing an opportunity to maximize your gifts to family and ministry.  Your LCMS Foundation Gift Planning Counselor can help. Contact Scott A. Radden at (618) 977-4049 or Scott.Radden@lfnd.org for more information.

Attendance last week was 228 with 169 Communing. The offering was: General fund $12,096, Specials $10,787, including $10,150 in Memory of Barb Burstadt. Total $22,883.

A Reminder for Our Health Policy

Every month our boards review our health policy because of the COVID Virus. We believe the following procedures will allow us to worship and carry out our ministry without causing unnecessary risk of spreading the virus.

1. We urge everyone to pray for God's help to overcome this disease and to protect and preserve life in every way by continuing to worship and work as much as possible in healthy ways.

2. For all "in-person" activities (worship, Bible study, meetings, etc.) we ask everyone to maintain social distancing (six feet between persons/families), keeping room capacity at 25% or less, and to wear a mask when unable to maintain social distancing.

3. Anyone who has higher risk factors for COVID should worship via the FM broadcast (parking lot) or by video and/or via the Monday evening all mask, no singing communion service. Anyone with COVID symptoms should worship via the FM broadcast or by video.

4. Please talk to the pastors if you have any questions.
