At our Board meeting today, we voted to "Support A Pole" to help the City's Holiday Décor Committee raise funds for the replacement of Granite Falls' street decorations. This is an effort we believe in and we encourage you to support a pole too.
Your donation can be mailed to the City of Granite Falls, 641 Prentice Street, Granite Falls, MN 56241. The Holiday Décor Committee is asking to receive donations by Monday, March 1. This allows purchasing at end-of-the-season discounted rates. See details below.

Letter from Holiday Décor Committee:
Friends,
The polar vortex is over and spring is less than 30 days away!
In the coming days, you will see the holiday street décor of snowflakes and red garland coming down. This will be the last year for these decorations that line the streets of Prentice, Granite, 9th Ave, Hwy 23 South, and East & West US-212. In total, we have decorations on 101 poles.
Are you interested in keeping this tradition for our community by donating to help purchase new LED snowflakes and red garland? Donations in any amount are welcome. Donors will be recognized in the local newspaper unless marked anonymous.
For donations $300 or above, your name will appear along with the “Founding Donors” on a plaque downtown. Holiday display companies are running end-of-the-season promotions now, which gives us a great opportunity to save up to 40%. The City Council has set a budget and is hoping residents and businesses will contribute to our city’s charm and community pride.

Checks can be made to City of Granite Falls-Holiday Décor and sent to City of Granite Falls, Attn: Holiday Décor, at the address below or dropped off at City Hall using the drop box on the northeast corner. The City will provide you with a notice of receipt of your donation.
