Sunday, February 21, 2021

Hi <<First Name>>, welcome to St. Anne's on this Sunday, February 21.  We hope this will help you as you worship with us this morning.

At present we see only puzzling reflections in a mirror, but one day we shall see face to face. My knowledge know is partial then it will be whole like God’s knowledge of me.

1 Corinthians 13:12                                                                                                                                                      (Revised English Bible)

Our community is always in need, check below to see how you can help. If you're interested in starting up a ministry to address a need in the community please see Meg.

Hillcrest - Hillcrest is a transitional housing program for people who need a helping hand. St. Anne's sponsors an apartment for this program in partnership with St. Paul's Lee's Summit. Occasionally there is a need for supplies or volunteers to clean. The Hillcrest ministry is in need of items for their pantry. A list is above the white basket by the table in the Narthex. For more information, please see Tammy or Toni.

St. Michael’s Pantry - St. Michael’s, Independence, hosts a necessity pantry to provide personal care items for those in our community needing assistance. This pantry can always use donations of men’s and women’s toiletry and personal hygiene items as well as dish soap and laundry detergent. Because of the Pandemic, food and clothing have been discontinued for the time being. Any donations should be left in the baskets located in the Narthex. The Pantry operates form 10a-2p the 1st and 3rd  Wednesday of each month/ For further information or to volunteer to assist in this ministry, contact Ed Freeman.

BackSnack - St. Anne's BackSnack ministry fills 60 backpacks each week with packets of non- perishable food for children at Lee's Summit Elementary. The food is provided by Harvester's and delivered to our church by Episcopal Community Services. Backpacks are packed every Monday afternoon at 1:30. For more information contact Lynette.

Nourish KC (Formerly Episcopal Community Services) – The purpose of Nourish KC is both in feeding the hungry, and empowering the poor to move beyond the barriers of poverty with dignity through education and job training. If you are interested in participating or supporting this ministry see the dates below. For more information check out their website: http://episcopalcommunity.diowestmo.org/

Choir - Join the Choir! No auditions or age requirements! Come practice with the choir on Sunday mornings at 9:30. Please see David Stover for more information.

Cleaning Crew - The Cleaning Crew is a vital part of our parish that requires about 2 ½ hours and is scheduled approximately 6 times during the year. Let us know if you are interested in maintaining the homey feel of our facility.  Contact Joanne Griffith.
Sunday School – Sunday School – Our Sunday School program is an adaptation of the Godly Play curriculum by Jerome  Berryman.  Class begins with a story presentation using the Godly Play method and followed by an extension activity with Legos.  Volunteers are always welcome to join us for class and work with the students on their Lego creations.
