"Abraham, Take Your Son" ... "Sacrifice Him!" -- What A TEST!
How would you do if you were Abraham? I just can't begin to imagine having a test like that. However, as you remember Abraham's life, you may recall that God had been working on growing his faith for many years. The Lord had put Abraham through a 50-year training program already by this time to deepen his trust in the Lord and his promises. The Lord knew the plan and what outcome he was bringing Abraham to. In the end, Abraham grew in his trust that God "Would Provide!"
How is your training program under the Lord's direction going? How have you grown in your trust? How does your faith look in God's eyes? This year certainly has had its trials. Are there things that you are willing to give up for the Lord? Or do you find too often that your desires and things, even your family or health have come before the Lord? We are human and sinners! Yet, our Lord wants to grow us and help us to see that he is the God of miracles and promises the impossible! He HAS sent Jesus to walk in our place. He DID provide the Lamb of sacrifice in place of Isaac and in our place! Our God literally DID SACRIFICE his Son!! Jesus did that will of his Father! How thankful we are! It means we have forgiveness, eternal life, a right standing with our God, and peace!! This is the heart of our faith.
Check in tomorrow, Sunday as we talk more about Abraham's trial and what we come to know! "Now I Know -- The Lord Will Provide!"  Livestream will be on at 9:00 AM - https://youtu.be/KEksdmu5AfI or go to mywels.com/live to watch it later.

Ash Wednesday Bulletin.

Pastor Green received a call from St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls to serve as an associate pastor. It is a church of 800 members with a school. They are asking Pastor Green to serve as their discipleship pastor and to oversee their elder program, bible studies, shut-ins, and special ministries. Pastor Green will be deliberating both calls that he holds for the coming weeks as he looks to where the Lord can best use his gifts at this time. I welcome your prayers and input.

  • OFFERINGS - What a privilege that the Lord blesses us with so much, how can I not but give back to him of my first-fruits! Isn't it great to be a part of God's plan of blessing!! It is amazing how the Lord works through his people!   -- You are invited to use our online giving at mywels.com/giveonline or send in your envelope and/or offerings to church. • IN NEED OF HELP - if you are need of any help during this time, whether it is getting groceries or supplies, whatever it may be, please just call and ask. It is important for us to show the love of Christ in action at this time. Look for opportunities to show love and kindness for your neighbors. Go out of your way to help others. AND especially keep praying for your neighbors, your governing officials, health care workers, people working in the grocery stores and our senior citizens that are isolated in their apartments or nursing facilities. It is a challenging time, but our Lord promises to answer our prayers and never leave us!
