I can hardly believe that it has been exactly four (4) months since, incredibly, I landed here in Florence! 

This newsletter has been on my "to do" list throughout January but here I am and, just in case you haven't stayed in touch with me via social media, all is very well here as we start 2021 with renewed optimism and hope. 
 
The vaccine "jab" is being administered and accelerated everywhere and as we continue to follow the mandates (masks & social distancing), the numbers are improving.

The travel industry continues to ramp up safety protocols and eventually (fingers crossed by the end of summer, early fall) borders can begin to re-open and safe travel can once again be part of our lives! 

In the meanwhile, I am staying busy and productive: immersing, experiencing, learning, meeting, sharing...



And spring always brings renewed hope, doesn't it? I know it does for me and I am saving that space for you!
I'm just so looking forward to welcoming you here...
we are all waiting for you! Ti aspettimo!
 

And my personal goal remains the same: to inform and inspire!

What is Victoria up to these days???

I often get asked exactly what do I do and how do I spend my time?
Well, in a nutshell, I am in immersion mode!

Immersing into the lifestyle, culture, history, art...of the country I LOVE! And I am LOVING it!

Yes, I've ready many of these books before and visited many of these museums and sites before but now that I am HERE I feel it's a golden opportunity to revisit and really dive deep...
literally and virtually!
And that includes visiting museums (and sharing about them with you) and attending enriching virtual presentations.

Yes, I've been reading Dante's Divine Comedy (he was born in Florence and 2021 is the 700 year celebration of his death - a BIG deal)! And thanks to Alexandra Lawrence and her 6-week online workshop it has been a rich and rewarding experience!

And then there are the absolutely extraordinary weekly Virtual Art History Encounters with Elaine Ruffolo and now, I've just signed onto a 14-week Venice Masterclass with Paola Vojnovic!

Always so much to experience,enjoy and share with YOU!
I LOVE Learning with Locals!
And, of course,they are Friends of Victoria!

Authentic, enriching, fun, delish and so rewarding!
Learning about local from locals - together, and for now sometimes virtual but absolutely the best way to learn, immerse and enjoy!
And the best way to keep that dream of BEING here with us front and center!

I LOVE Museums!!!

Italy is a museum-lover's idea of heaven! Am I in the right place or what??
And, although, for the time being I am restricted to travel in Tuscany, right here in Florence there are sooooo many fabulous museums and sites to explore!

As I write I have ten (10) published posts about "off the beaten track" as well as more famous museums and (lots) more to share in the coming weeks!
