Fearrington Farmers' Market
every Tuesday, rain or shine
current hours: 3:00-5:00 pm

This week calls for treats!

Whether you celebrate Valentine's Day or recognize Mardi Gras as an official holiday (turns out it's only a legal holiday in Louisiana...), this feels like a good week to treat yourself.  The weather is still unsettled, but it looks like Tuesday will be the warmest day of the week, so we hope you'll stop by the market!  I can't promise there will be king cakes, but we've got several bakers ready to fill your baskets with all sorts of decadent sweets.  Staples like meat, eggs, and winter produce will be on hand, too.  See you soon!

This Week's Featured Vendors

Beechcrest Farm will be there!  We still have plenty of bone-in pork chops, bacon, sausage, pork stew, and ground pork.  On the beef side we will have a flank or skirt steak or two, some chuck roasts, plenty of stew and ground beef, brats, short ribs, and -- as always -- a good selection of ribeyes, NYS, sirloins, filet and cube steak.  And the hens have decided spring is around the corner, so we should have 4+ dozen eggs or so.  See you Tuesday!

Bonlee Grown Farm

We've been planting all week... spring will be here soon! We have fresh-baked banana bread and Country Caviar: our sweet salsa with red onions and sweet peppers, black beans, black eyed peas, and corn soaked overnight in our special marinade.

Also from the kitchen are bread and butter pickles, pickled okra, chow chow, jalapeño pepper vinegar, sweet and sour pickles, sauerkraut, pickled beets, strawberry jam, blackberry, strawberry fig, apple butter, cranberry-strawberry jam, blueberry jam, and honey from our farm!

We have cold-hardy amaryllis bulbs in pink and white that you can watch grow and bloom. We have beautiful bouquet arrangements, aloe, coleus, snake plants, cacti, moses-in-the-cradle, spider plants and all kinds of succulents big and small.

We'll also have feather earrings and unique necklaces; pre-order for special feathers and custom jewelry!

Hens lay fewer eggs during the winter, and some days not at all -- but given the weather lately, who can blame them?  Production is picking up now that the days are getting longer, though!
