Youth Public Health Ambassadors Program Launch

We are excited to announce the launch of a new program in partnership with Children’s Chance International (Uganda) and the University of Southern California aimed to support youth in developing the skills needed to support their communities in confronting persistent health challenges and successfully drive positive change. The year-long program builds on RUFC’s proven camp curriculum and seeks to increase:

• Awareness of healthy behaviors that promote physical and emotional wellness

• Community engagement in disease prevention and control programs

• Community-based data to support evidence-based programs and policies

RUMPS Workshop Follow Up Exceeds Expectations

The 21 students trained at our COVID-compliant January workshop in reproductive health and menstrual sanitation have enthusiastically taken up their role as community educators. Over the past month, they have held several community training sessions to teach their peers about what they learned at the workshop. Their passion and ability to mobilize others inspired us to launch the Youth Public Health Ambassadors Program.
