Welcome to the February 2021 edition of The Atheopagan Voice, your mostly-monthly update on happenings in the Atheopagan community and source for materials and resources to help support your clerical practice!
It is the time of Brightening in the Northern Hemisphere (or, conversely, of Dimming in the Southern). The days grow longer and the deep darkness of winter recedes.
Times are still very hard for most of us. The isolation required by the pandemic leads to loneliness: that ache in the body at being separated from those we love. Yet the vaccine spreads, and hope--like the strengthening Sun--is on the horizon.
As Atheopagans and clerics, now in particular is a time to be kind to both ourselves and our fellow humans. People who have been alone for too long are weary and feel beaten down; people who have been housebound for nearly a year have experienced the shrinking of their horizons.
So do what you can for our less.fortunate sisters and brothers. Offer your support, your generosity, your wisdom and your strong heart.
The dawn is coming. Be strong and patient.
