(Jelly Roll is a term to describe for rolls of fabric that measure 2 ½” in width. These strips are cut across the width of the fabric and vary from 42″ – 44″. There are generally 40-42 strips in a Jelly Roll, but this can also vary, sometimes you may get 44 strips. A Jelly Roll of 40 gives you approx. 2¾ yards of fabric.)
This hands-on workshop offers a day of fun and learning -- both to the beginner, and the experienced sewer!
We will be covering...
* How to set up your machine for a perfect 1/4'', both with and without a 1/4'' foot.
* We will also cover how to attach and best utilise the walking foot attachment, as well as set up for in-the-ditch quilting.
* Joining your strips on the bias of the fabric,
* Squaring up your quilt,
* Measuring and attaching border fabrics,
* How to calculate binding, and how to best sew it down!
