2019-2020 ANNUAL REPORT

Our 2019-2020 Annual Report is now available on our website.
Spring Musical: A Message from Dr. Hovermale

"The decision for the Musical needed to be made by February 1, 2021. We are keeping the April dates at the theatre for possible department events; however. there is no way at this time that we can prepare, rehearse, and produce a quality musical. Even though the students are returning in a hybrid format on the 16th, we are still limited to interaction with groups. It is with much disappointment that we will not be putting on the Addams Family at the Maryland Theatre in April. I will say - Our new lead theatre teacher has many great ideas how to showcase the kids moving forward as we continue to maneuver through this unprecedented pandemic."

~ Dr. Robert Hovermale, BISFA Principal
Counselor Recognition

BISFA's own Samantha Murphy has been nominated for the College Board Counselor Recognition program. This year, the College Board recognized more than 400 school counselors nominated by colleagues for their work in their school and community. Congratulations, Mrs. Murphy!

Visual Arts Workshop

In early February, the Visual Arts department held a week-long workshop with Baltimore artist Rosa Leff! Under the direction of Ms. Leff, each student created a unique cut paper/image tunnel book and they are hoping to have an exhibition at BISFA so others can enjoy this unique medium.
Rae West (grade 10) holds up their completed tunnel book.
Olie Andos (grade 9) presents their completed book
CONGRATULATIONS, BISFA STUDENTS!

We are constantly in awe of the talent, creativity, and hard work of our BISFA students. Please join us in congratulating these amazing achievements!
