Love Sport? Let's learn about... People Outdoors!

Introduction and history of PeopleOutdoors

People Outdoors, a branch of the Australian Camps Association, was established in 1989 to provide outdoor recreation for people of all ages with physical or intellectual disabilities. The Australian Camps Association is a registered NDIS service provider certified by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and accredited with the Quality Tourism Framework.

Camp programs include overnight through to four-day residential camps and provide people living with disability the opportunity to experience the social and social and developmental benefits of adventure outdoors.

Metro Programs

We have recently released our 2021 Program calendar - check out our upcoming programs flyer here.

Please note that all programs leave from Thornbury. We have also recently started a regional office for campers who live in Ballarat and surrounds - read on for more information.
Regional Programs
We have recently extended our services into the Western region of Victoria. People Outdoors have a dedicated officer, Simon Milligan, who is located in Ballarat to assist you to access our camps.

We are currently offering camps for people from the Pyrenees, Grampians, Bendigo and Central Highland areas, providing support and access to our programs. Since November 2020 we have run successful come and try days, carers camps, placed campers on our existing camps and assisted campers to attend integrated summer camps.

In 2021 we have booked venues and set calendar dates with departures from Ballarat.

See our upcoming calendar here.

To access these camps please contact our Ballarat office to register your interest - simon@auscamps.asn.au

You do not have to have an NDIS plan to access our programs!
