Māori Screen Industry Updates Covid Level 3 and Level 2

Just as we must let the rain fall, let the Covid restrictions be what they will be. It is challenging to readjust to the current level 3 Covid restrictions in place. You may feel anxious, or frustrated as our way of life is altered and restrictions that cannot be helped are put in place so we can all play our part to eliminate Covid. Below are some helpful links for wellbeing and Covid Information from Māori providers.

Te Māngai Pāho presents $55m Journalism fund hui

25th February, Ngā Aho Whakaari will facilitate a hui with Te Māngai Pāho and Māori in Screen regarding the newly established $55m Journalism fund. The hui will be a presentation by Larry Parr, then Q&A followed by refreshements. Due to Covid Restrictions numbers will be limited to 100 attendees. Registration essential.

NZOA Funding dates extended

Due to COVID-19 Alert Levels increase throughout New Zealand and in response to the industry,NZ Film Commission, NZ On Air and Te Māngai Pāho have collectively decided to extend the Premium Productions for International Audiences Fund (Te Puna Kairangi Premium Fund) Deadline to Monday 22nd February 2021 – 1pm.

The ScreenSafe/SWAG Screen Industry Professional Respect Training Project – is back up and running for 2021. The ScreenSafe/SWAG Professional Respect Training Project was developed to support WORKSAFE's health & safety guidelines around harassment. The course will address predominately sexual harassment and also includes bullying, harassment, definitions, disclosures, and respectful behaviours in the workplace. Be a part of this screen sector culture change and help make the sector a safe environment for everyone. **Numbers for each workshop are limited to 24, so book your space now.
