Winter is a time to go inward, a time of reflection. After much thought and analysis, The Dragon Group (TDG) remains focused on providing our clients with the best we have to offer- creative problem solving and detailed execution. We also are clear on what we are to the marketplace- innovators occupying the intersection of Construction Management and Sustainability.
In this issue we share one of the many projects TDG is managing during COVID and Healthy Building best practices that are emerging.

Project Management Spotlight
Midtown Villages
The Dragon Group served as the Owner's Rep/Construction Manager for Midtown Villages (formerly Melrose, Summit, Butler Collins, Rainey, and Mill Street). Midtown Villages is a 200-Unit affordable housing renovation spread across 54 buildings at 6 separate sites within the Gainesville Housing Authority. This was a very complex renovation compounded by the pandemic, but the project team collaborated well and delivered a successful project. The renovation improved the condition of the residences drastically including new kitchens, bathrooms, high-efficiency HVAC system, plumbing fixtures, windows, roofing, and finishes. Sustainability was a key driver and the project achieved National Green Building Standard certification.
The project team included Collaborative Housing Solutions, Gainesville Housing Authority, Foley Design, and Choate Construction.

Where Are They Now? Intern Spotlight - Wama Gbetibouo
Wama Gbetibouo was TDGs very first intern in 2016. He is currently a Georgia Tech graduate with a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering working as a section manager with Caterpillar Inc. in their Griffin, GA Manufacturing Facility! He is responsible for overseeing the production of marine engines for a wide array of customers.
