HOPE sign shining brightly in the dark night.
Good day Ridgecrest Family Church. I want all of you to know that your big sign of HOPE really made a difference in at least one person’s life. During December at first, I only noticed the bright huge light. I remembered in the past there used to be a cross. For a week or so I stared at it , while I was sitting alone on the stoop. After some days I got curious and took out the binoculars desperate to know what this square kind of light was. What could replace something as important as the Cross. I was so stunned. I just knew it was the Holy Spirit making me curious to discover this amazing Word in the dark night. In a very uncertain and very broken time in my life it was just so amazing and comforting to see that God is truly alive and close by. He confirmed through that sign to me, that I should keep on HOPING. For more than a month I digested this moment, absorbing the HOPE before I could contact Pastor Ezra. By grace his number was on my husband’s phone. We are members of the Gideons in SA and my husband, André Olivier, built a relationship with Pastor Ezra over the last few years. We also had a stall at a gathering on 28 September 2019. In June 2020 André was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. We made the best we could of the last 3 months, he sadly passed away on 1 September 2020. We continue to stay close by God in these difficult times. Therefore, it was so comforting to get confirmation of HOPE. Although I could not see clearly what the message of the light was in the darkness, it all become clear when I took the time to find the binoculars and zoom in on the light. Only then I could see the message, HOPE. Keep on focusing on the Light(God), and if need be Zoom in to the Light and be ready for God’s amazing grace….and never ever lose HOPE. Because to hope is to be sure of what we believe in and cannot see.
