LATE SPRING 2021

Greetings from InterVarsity Press

How did you experience social media in the last year? When the scrolling stopped, did you find yourself feeling more hopeful or more cynical?

It may seem like online social platforms have brought out the worst in our friends, our families, or even ourselves. We might wonder, “Can any good come out of this?”

We’re excited for the perspective Douglas S. Bursch provides in his forthcoming book, Posting Peace: Why Social Media Divides Us and What We Can Do About It. With wisdom and a keen perception of the current culture, Bursch helps us navigate the minefield of online communication and shows us how we might become peacemakers in a realm often characterized by hostility and uncharitable dialogue.

There is still hope that we can love our neighbors well in kindness and truth as we interact through these platforms. We hope that wherever you are, you experience these words of life more and more each day.
