 February is Library Lovers Month

Valentine’s Day has passed, but the love keeps flowing all month long! When you come to Park & Pick Up, you’ll see a station where you can drop us a Valentine and pick one up. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram as we share the love.

And be sure to check out the Teen Room window, where you’ll find our popular “Blind Date with a Book” display.
Love the Library? Join The Friends!

The Friends of the Library show their library love by raising money to expand our collections, programs, and community services. This month, they are hosting pop-up membership drives, weekly prize drawings, and adding thousands of titles to their online bookstore (where members get monthly special discounts).

Becoming a Friends member is a great way to show your library love!
SHOW YOUR LOVE
If you loved Bridgerton…

We are partnering with UNC’s Jane Austen & Co. on a series of programs examining “Race and the Regency.” This week, we are thrilled to welcome author Ibi Zboi, author of Pride: A Pride & Prejudice Remix that will soon be adapted into an HBO series. The program will take place on Thursday, February 18th at 5:00 pm via Zoom.

We love local music!

Tracks Music Library, a joint project with Community Arts & Culture, is a streaming platform dedicated to local music. The platform launched last year with 70+ artists and will add 25 new acts in 2021. Local artists from all genres are encouraged to submit up to 3 songs for consideration. The application deadline is extended through February 28th.
