Day of Prayer and evening Service
Today is Shrove Tuesday and we prepare ourselves for the period of Lent. Tomorrow is our Day of Prayer for Ash Wednesday and there will be zoom prayers at 9am, 12 and 3pm with an Ash Wednesday service at 7.30pm.

Communion Service on Zoom
7pm on Thursday 18th
As the Ministry Team mentioned in their recent pastoral letter, they are aware that we are not just missing worshipping together but also the opportunity to gather around the Lord's Table to share in Holy Communion. At this time the Methodist Church does not allow us to celebrate communion on-line. The reasons for this are many and complex so will not take up space here to try and explain. However, we are going to try something as way of an experiment by using what is allowed. There is in our tradition the possibility of extended communion. This is that after a communion service the bread and wine that have been blessed are taken out to the housebound or those in hospital.
The Ministry Team are going to offer this to you this coming Thursday. They will gather in the morning for a service of holy communion in the church and then straightaway afterwards they (and hopefully a few helpers) will deliver the elements to your home. You will keep the elements and must be able to join the zoom service at 7.00pm that evening when we will worship and eat and drink together. If you would like to receive communion in this way, then you need to get in touch with one of us by Wednesday.

Circuit Lent Course
Sundays at 6pm
Starting on 21st Feb
The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, 17th February, and we would traditionally be gathering in worship on Sundays to share in a Lenten liturgy and singing those hymns and songs which help us to travel with Jesus through this season to the cross of Calvary.
The London District of the Methodist Church have produced 'Woven — a Lent Course' which is for both personal and group study during the weeks of Lent and we hope you will find it strengthening and challenging.
We are going to hold a 6-week session of Circuit Lenten Worship and Study on the Sunday evenings in Lent at 6pm beginning on 21st February. Everyone can join us from either their phone, mobile, tablet or laptop computer using this zoom meeting link (Meeting ID: 872 4091 8026, Passcode: 299877)
