Hi <<First Name>>,

Government today announced that New Zealand's COVID-19 Alert Levels will change at 11.59pm tonight, at which time Auckland will change to Alert Level 2 and the rest of New Zealand will change to  Alert Level 1.

It is important that businesses continue to operate safely at Alert Level 1 which means ensuring that:
  • you display your QR code in multiple locations
  • your employees can stay home if they are sick
  • you encourage good hygiene practices at work.

Further information including a handy business checklist and information about the Leave Support Scheme can be found here: Doing business at Alert Level 1

New resurgence support for businesses

The Government has announced additional support in a resurgence.

A new Resurgence Support Payment is being introduced to help businesses directly affected when there’s a move to Alert Level 2 or above for a week or more.

The final legislation to create the payment has been introduced under urgency to Parliament today so the scheme can be activated if needed. More information can be found on the COVID-19: Financial support for businesses page on the MBIE website.

Charities and not-for-profit organisations will also be eligible.

Meanwhile, existing support for businesses can be found here.
