World Radio Day Celebrated
This year’s celebrations to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the UNESCO World Radio Day was more vibrant than ever. The over-arching themes of evolution, innovation, and connection underlined radio as a powerful medium. Radio remains worldwide the most widely consumed medium, a technology that speaks to everyone everywhere. To mark the occasion, the DRM Consortium launched its first DRM for Education e-book, as well as the DRM Delivers Education for All Initiative.
The DRM education e-book makes a strong case for using DRM for distance learning. As a “one-to many” platform, digital radio can deliver audio and text over vast areas. The book’s publication was also an invitation for anyone interested to participate in an exciting DRM Delivers Education for All initiative. Please contact: projectoffice@drm.org to participate.
