Inspiring Circular Ocean Solutions

The Stavanger-based tech company Beyonder and NCE Blue Legasea, a cluster centered around fisheries, presented how they are contributing to the circular economy at our community event.

Beyonder uses sawdust, a waste product from the forest industry to create much more sustainable batteries, contributing to the renewable energy shift.

Did you know that in traditional seafood processing only 35% of the fish weight is utilized? NCE Blue Legasea aids startups such as C-Food Norway in using by-products from white fishing and turning it into sustainable and tasty food!

Did you miss our community event or do you want to recap? Don't miss out on opportunities and news from other TOOL-innovators:

Empowering Generation Cleanup

Meet Julia, our new intern joining us all the way from San Francisco, who's currently taking a gap year before joining Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA this fall.  With TOOL’s mission of empowering generation cleanup, and helping convert green youth activists into business activists, we see Julia as a great addition to our team!

Our aspiring environmental engineer is interested in exploring green tech, and has been working on this through hands-on projects in her free time. Moreover, she's helped organize local school demonstrations for the climate strikes and co-founded Tutor Tree, an initiative that aims to pair kids with learning differences with high school/coll
ege tutors who have similar learning challenges.

Julia is enthusiastic about joining the TOOL community and is looking forward to continuing to work on projects relating to ocean conservation, sustainability, and TOOL’s mission!
