You are invited to participate in a Community Group Discussion with the RCD. This initiative is intended to help support the development of a Collaborative Action Plan to reduce and prevent poverty in Richmond.
The meeting will be held online via Zoom.

Community Group Discussion Format:
The first part of the discussion will focus on the barriers and difficulties to accessing services and supports in Richmond that you have experienced and your sense of belonging and inclusion in the community. The second part of the discussion will focus on identifying potential solutions to address these barriers and increase social inclusion in the community.
The following questions will be explored in the Community Group Discussion:
- What could help reduce and prevent poverty in Richmond?
- What are some barriers or difficulties you have experienced when trying to access services or get help in Richmond?
- Do you feel a sense of belonging in Richmond? What could make you feel more involved and connected?
- How has COVID-19 affected your daily living situation and changed your access to supports and services?
- What types of supports and services have helped to improve your life?
- What changes in your neighbourhood would make the greatest difference to your life?
- What are the top three changes to supports and services in Richmond that would make the greatest difference and help to improve your life?
Issue areas previously identified in other sessions will be reviewed and then the following questions will be discussed:
- What do you think of the identified issue areas?
- What possible solutions are there to these issues?
- Are there any other issues and potential solutions that have not been mentioned?
