Beyond Expectations by Impact Middle East leader in Israel/Palestine
I worked with Mohamed, an open, sincere person and hard worker. During a coffee break one day, I noticed he was downcast.
I asked him, “What is wrong with you, Mohamed? Why do you look so worried?”
He replied with a deep sigh, “Oh, my brother, my distress is so great.”
I told him, “Share with me your deep concern. Perhaps, I can help you.”
Mohamed told me he had been married for more than six years and had no children. With a very sad voice he said, “Allah has not blessed me with children.” Then he added, “I have spent all my livelihood on medical treatment, but it has not helped me at all.”
I told him, “What would you say if I send you to a great physician who can solve your problem?”
He quickly replied, "I would love to go to this doctor. Who is he? Please give me his telephone number.”
I answered him, “He has no telephone number, but you can speak with him in a different way.”
With a look of surprise on his face he asked, “How can I speak with him?”
I told him, “He hears you and knows your suffering.”
Mohamed replied, “Who is he?”
Then I told him. “His name is Jesus Christ. He is the great physician.” Then, I shared with him how Jesus healed a woman who had a disease for 12 years, twice the time of his problem. I told Mohamed he needed to believe in Jesus and trust in His promises.
“How to do so?” he replied.
I explained to him he needed to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior of his heart and life.
When he agreed, I led him in a prayer to give his life to Jesus. Then, we prayed God would give him children.
God answered our prayer. After a few months, his wife became pregnant. But God did not give him a child. He gave him and his wife triplets! Praise the Lord! His blessings are beyond our expectations!
