One of our strategic goals as a church is to intentionally become intergenerational. That means we want to reach young people and young families while partnering with our older generations.

This email is about our Kids and Student Ministries, but it's not just for the families with children in those age groups. Being a church that invests in young people, where they feel loved, can meet Jesus, and become the next generation of leaders is going to take all of us. We invite EVERYONE to read, see what is happening with the young people in our church, pray for our kids, pray for the staff and volunteer leaders, then ask God how else He may want you to get involved.
You know great things are happening, when they want to stay longer!

Discipleship Groups, or D-Groups, are a weekly space for students to spend time with others in the same stage of life and with a leader who listens and helps them discover how God is near in every circumstance. At RVCC Graham, all 6-12 grade students are invited to come to the building on Wednesday nights. We spend time together as a large group, but the best time every week is when they break out to their D-Groups. When I get the chance to roam the halls, I hear laughter, prayers, great questions, and students knowing that they have a place to belong.
The adults that show up every week are really the ones that create our environment. They listen, ask thought provoking questions, and show up prepared to talk with teenagers about God. In fact, our high school guys D-Group has created such a wonderful community for one another in this pandemic that I hear almost every week, "How can we get more time in our group?" Every Wednesday night, each student will have someone look in their eyes, ask them a question, and give them a chance to discover that they are loved. It's just the coolest thing to witness.

We love when kids are so excited about what they are learning that they want to live for Jesus and choose to follow Him in baptism.

This is Brodie...

Brodie was baptized in January by his parents, Jayden and Mandy. He wanted to be baptized because he loves Jesus and wants to go to heaven! Brodie is a kind, energetic, and fun kid that loves the foosball table at church! Pray for Brodie as he follows Jesus, and that other kids in Kids and Student ministry will make the same exciting decision.
Don't let the title fool you. This is another one of those sections that really is for everyone! Even if you don't have children in Kids or Student Ministries, you can pray for the kids and their families! Pray for those that attend RVCC and those that are invited to these events, that God would work in their lives. If you do have kids, from newborn to high school, you for sure what to check out what we have coming up for your family!

WEEKLY EVENTS
Though big events like those above may be exciting, it's the time with every kid, birth through high school, each week, where young lives are really impacted. This is when our staff and amazing volunteers, show our kids the love of Jesus. In all of these areas there is always a need for more people who love kids and would love to invest in them. If that's you, feel free to email info@rainierview.org and we'll get you connected!
