1. Knysna Oyster Festival (KOF) – revised dates & call for participation

Per the attached press release, due to the revised school holiday dates, the dates for this year’s hybrid Knysna Oyster Festival have moved to 9 – 18 July.  The concept messaging remains the same, encouraging visitors to the greater Knysna area to stay for (at least) 10 days while they work and play.

We also remind you to please submit an offering into the KOF programme in July:  click here to read the communication for local businesses, giving guidance on offerings that could be presented.  Applications of interest must be done online on www.KnysnaOysterFestival.co.za.  The closing date for applications to be a part of the programme is Friday, 16 April 2021.  Once the calendar of events has been finalised, we will then encourage you to share it to your database to attract visitors to our area to enjoy all that there is on offer.

After last year’s call for proposals with the Knysna Art Society, today we finally hosted the launch and sod-turning ceremony with our Executive Mayor and relevant Councillors at Judah Square, the initial site preparing to host the installation of one in a series of interactive street art forms.  A press release will be shared next week and more details will be unveiled as we progress with the roll-out of this project that will see the development of the Art & Culture route, creating awareness for the many talented artists and makers living amongst us.
