To find the Daily Symptom Checker, go to our school webpage .and there is a gray button on the left side that says daily symptoms screener. Also, the green letter sent to home had the QR code that you can scan. Just need your child 10 digit student ID.

5th Grade Yearbook Dedication
Surprise your 5th grader with a special dedication in the yearbook celebrating their very last year of elementary school. Share your favorite memory or best wishes for middle school along with your favorite picture.

In just 4 weeks, we’ll kick off our McAlpine Eagles Dance Fit on Wednesday, 3/17!

We have 3 goals for this year program:
1. Bringing our school community together for some FUN!
2. Inspiring our students to be active and activate their character building
3. Raising funds to support our school’s needs

All students will participate in the McAlpine Eagles Dance Fit, regardless of financial participation. We will also be following our school safety guidelines to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone. We appreciate your support more than you know. More details to come as we get closer to kickoff!

The first week of March is College and Career Readiness Week and we need YOUR help! Parents should create a brief Flipgrid video to be shared at the weekly assembly. In this video please share:

What your job is/What you do in your job
What education/skills it took to get the job? (college, trade school, etc)
What made you figure out that you wanted to do this job/Something you love that you get to do because of your job

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library has a lot to offer this month! This month we are focusing on self-care and emotion regulation at the Library, an extremely beneficial skill for students and caregivers. We also continue to focus on our Black Lives Matter programming, with additional programs for Black History month this February. Visit the calendar by clicking below to join events such as Parent Lunch and Learn sessions, which occur weekly at the Library for parents to practice a little self-care by connecting with

One program in particular to highlight is our weekly “i can read Black stories” Storytime, available every Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. This Storytime features books that center around characters who are Black or people of color, offers strategies to foster conversations about equity and inclusivity, and encourages early literacy skill development and a love of books and reading in your child.

Meal Bundle Distribution - January 2021

Weekly pick-up of meal bundles will continue on Wednesdays in February from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at select pick-up locations across the district. Meal bundle pick-up dates are February 3, February 10, February 17 and February 24. View pick up locations here.
