NO SCHOOL next Monday, February 15th in observance of President's Day.
Parents...Did you know that February is Black History Month? Teachers will be sharing examples of African American EXCELLENCE with our students throughout the month and encourage you to discuss impressive individuals at home as well. Think of scientists, mathematicians, writers, and more who might be important to highlight during this very special month.

SOUP-ER Bowl Canned Food Drive
THANK YOU to those families who donated cans of soup during spirit day last Friday! This is our second kindness project of the year. We are asking students to bring at least 2-4 cans of soup for the Second Harvest Food Bank. The drive kicked off this week and will continue through the rest of the month. Let's all show our school spirit and KINDNESS. Let's all show that Valencia is truly a Caring Community!
Families can drop off canned food donations between 7:30-5:00 on materials pick-up Monday/Tuesday and 7:30-4:00 on all other weekdays through 2/26 at the Main Office. Thank you!
Don't forget to order your 2020-2021 Yearbook. We are very excited to announce some of the creative subjects that we are covering this year (in addition to the more traditional subjects). Below is a list of some of the fun subjects that are going to be included in our yearbook.
Please take a look at the different topics below and as parents/guardians we invite you to take part in submitting photos to the yearbook. If you have any pictures that you would like to contribute, please click on the link for each topic and submit your photos. Please submit the pictures by March 1st.

SAVE THE DATE for March 1, 2, and 3 from 1:00-5:00!
Students will have an assigned day/time by grade level. Materials pick-up for the week will coincide with each grade level’s picture day. They will pick up materials when they come to take their pictures. Schedule to come next week.
Be sure to also check your email next week from Lifetouch. You will have the opportunity to pre-order pictures online. Whether you order pictures or not, please make sure your student takes their picture at school so it can be included in the yearbook.
