Last year we heard about Wellington City’s Innovating Streets pilots, funded by Waka Kotahi and WCC. They aim to create more vibrant, people-friendly spaces in our neighbourhoods.
On Thursday 11th February a ‘Placemaking Pop-Up’ is opening outside Black Coffee, 133 Riddiford Street. It will be there for approximately four weeks and the organisers want to get lots of feedback from the community about the best use of the space!

There will be a similar ‘pop-up’ outside Bicycle Junction, 1 Marion Street, Te Aro opening Saturday 13th February for approximately three weeks, and another outside the new offices of Creative Capital Arts Trust, 17 Allen Street, during the Fringe Festival.
