It’s been an entire year since CNFO hosted the inaugural OklaHomies Short Film Contest. Get ready for a bigger and better year two.

What is the OklaHomies Short Film Contest, you ask?
The purpose of this contest is to promote film careers, showcase film skills AND provide a much-needed break (and entertainment) while many of us are still home in this unprecedented time.
Rules are:
- Films must be shot and edited using only a smartphone.
- Films must be shot between March 12-26, 2021.
- Open to all ages of Oklahoma residents.
- Short Films must include at least one shot of one of the following:
-Zoom/Video conferencing platforms
-Distance learning
-Mask(s)
-Social distance/physical distancing
Categories are:
- Short Film (under 5 minutes)
- Short Short Film (under 1 minute)
- K-12 Student Short Film
- Indigenous Short Film
This year we have an '80s theme. Bonus points if you join in.
There is a fan-favorite winner for each category and a first-place winner for each category. Make sure to share your film with your friends and family!
We were blown away with the response in 2020 and enjoyed watching the video entries.

Cherokee Nation citizen Ryker Sixkiller is a multitalented actor and a filmmaker and currently works at Buffalo Nickel Creative as a film editor.
He's had several years of acting experience, from drama class, theater and musicals in school, acting technique classes with the Actor Factory, commercials, feature films, TV Series, and short films. He also choreographs and performs fights and stunts. His choreography and stunt credits can be seen in the feature films "Dinosaur World," "Queens," "The Adventures of Rufus: The Fantastic Pet," "Queen of The Underground," “The Spoken Gospel" and "Broken Freedom."
Ryker is registered in CNFO's talent directory and is ready to be hired when productions come to town.
