Hello!

Are you hanging in there? Phew.. can you believe it's been a YEAR of this madness! Yet here we are.. still managing (most of the time!) and juggling it all. And I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, it CAN'T be too much longer now.

Well we're not able to do all the usual February Half Term events but there are some lovely occasions coming up and no home schooling for a week has to be something to celebrate! So I've summarised some of the great ideas, inspiration and activities we have going on here so you can enjoy this week with your Mini Mumblers.

Remember to follow York Mumbler on INSTAGRAM for daily updates.

See below for some great ideas for VALENTINES DAY, PANCAKE DAY and the rest of FEBRUARY HALF TERM. We also have a fantastic WALKING page which includes lots of routes, ways to make walking more fun, places to feed the ducks and much more.

Remember, at this time, if you possibly can then SUPPORT LOCAL by using local online retailers and also getting your food deliveries from small local providers.. their businesses depend on it!

There are still also some fantastic VIRTUAL CLASSES & GROUPS being run from local providers - why not sign up to one of these to try something different and also ensure they can continue and be back in real life when restrictions allow!

Whatever you do - stay safe, have fun & hang in there 🤗

Lots of Love

Emily & Team York Mumbler 💜

Have you had a baby this year? We want to support new parents and parents-to-be by sharing your experiences, top tips and maybe creating a mini community for 'lockdown parents' - first we want to hear your views so if you could take 2 minutes to complete this survey I'd really appreciate it!

Can you spare a few minutes a week to support the NSPCC?

The NSPCC is appealing to anyone who can spare a little time each week to help spread the word about the wonderful work our staff and volunteers are doing across the region.

If you can spare four hours, and live close to one of our Childline bases, you could become a counsellor – with training and support from our staff, you can help children and young people across the country in their darkest hours. Go to www.nspcc.org.uk to find out more.

But if you’ve only got a few minutes each week spare, and you love using social media, you can become one of our social media champions – just by sharing our news, posts, appeals and events, you can help us reach new communities and individuals, and make 2021 a better year for children.

Please email jackie.dawson@nspcc.org.uk or elaine.kaye@nspcc.org.uk for more information.
