2021: innovation to inspire renewal!
First of all, the whole Cap Digital's team wishes you all the best for the year to come and hope that it would bring us together and unleash our capacity for innovation. This year of transition should be the occasion to put social and environmental responsibility at the heart of economic competitiveness. In this regard, Cap Digital will continue focusing on its area of excellence: digital technology, being even more committed to responsible innovation. A collective dynamic will animate our actions and require the best business expertise in financing innovation, matchmaking and knowledge. On the other hand, Cap Digital will out a highly ambitious European strategic plan by developing large scale projects as the EDIH SUMITY, by participating to the development of a sustainable territory with Green Deal projects, and by bringing new opportunities new opportunities of Horizon Europe and the EU Recovery Plan to its members. In the end, 2021 will be the opportunity for Cap Digital to serve its members with a maximum of empathy, kindness and high standards.

EIT Health Catapult is looking for the next European health leaders 

Who is going to succeed to UVera, New Born Solutions and Methinks last year Catapult's winners? EIT Health Catapult is a unique competition and training programme that showcases top European teams in the fields of Medtech, Biotech and Digital Health. Deadline to apply to the 2021 edition is 16th March. Throughout the Catapult process, selected start-ups will receive intensive training and exposure in front of leading European experts and investors. Start-ups will battle to be showcased at the EIT Health Summit, share the €210K investment prize and be displayed on the New York Nasdaq Tower. Since 2016, EIT Health Catapult supported 189 European companies that have raised more than €230M.

Join tomorrow's customization of mass production with DIY4U 

The DIY4U Open Innovation Call is an opportunity to be involved in an innovative project addressing the blocking agents of product customization, small-scale manufacturing and capitalize on the business opportunity by developping an Open Innovation digital platform & fablabs for collaborative design and production of personalized Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs). Applicants have until 31st March to submit their proposal and receive up to €50K during the 6-months project. This Open innovation Call aims to select proposals covering the development of functionalities for the DIY4U platform: 1. Sales virtual assistant 2. Decentralized payment 3. Supply chain planning 4. Monitoring performance.

SUMITY  
In December 2020, among 16 other French projects, SUMITY was pre-selected by the French State to have the opportunity to apply to the EDIH call for proposals of the European Commission to be launched in the coming weeks.

ELLURE 
The Swedish start-up develops mass personalization technology for cosmetics to meet diverse customer's needs and prevents over production. Their first product is a custom-made liquid lipstick. Cap Digital is in charge of the environmental analysis of the production mode, and supports the start-up in their business model development.

DEVELOP THE DATA PORTABILITY FIELD 
DAPSI has closed its Booster Phase Open Call 

DAPSI second Open Call to empower internet innovators to develop technology solutions and services for the Data Portability field has been closed. In total, 176 consortia from 42 different European countries have applied, including 37 from Germany, 31 from France or 21 from United Kingdom. In the next couple of weeks, top innovators will be selected by the project partners. Then they will enter an acceleration programme to develop MVP, get technical and business support, access to top infrastructure, promote their  solution, network and find real deployment opportunities.

ENGAGE YOURSELF FOR CIRCULAR ECONOMY 
DigiCirc Circular City Open Call is now over

First Open Call of the DigiCirc project on Circular cities has been closed last January. In total, DigiCirc consortium has received 71 finalized applications from 24 Europen countries . A maximum of 15 consortia will be selected by the beginning of March and then integrate the intensive acceleration programme of the project to solve 4 defined challenges: Waste Management, Autonomous Cities, Sustainable Consumption and Education

  • New Shopping ExperiencePICOM by Cap Digital has launched a new edition of its collaborative and innovative programme. "Speeding up the transition to a righteous and sustainable business" is this year challenge. By collaborating with large retail partners, SMEs and start-ups have 15 months to create and experiment an innovative prototype answering the stakes of a post-Covid world. 
  • Live streaming studio: Cap Digital has equiped itself with a professional video recording and live streaming studio. The hall of our building has been redesigned to host live hybrid events that can accommodate up to 20 people while broadcasting events on social networks and webinar platforms.   • Responsible digital innovation: In a context of race for technological innovation, Cap Digital has proposed to one of its Board members, Christine Balagué, professor at the Mines-Télécom Institute, to lead a collective work group and build a common vision of responsible digital innovation, able to connect economic competitiveness and positive social & environmental impact.  
  • New video presenting Mona: Following the EIT Health CLAIRE project developed with Cap Digital, the start-up Clinomic has published a video presenting Mona, the smart bedside assistant for intensive care units.  
   👏 Successes from our community 👏 
  • The French start-up OPSCIDIA, offering tools to detect early trends in specific research and development areas, just finished the development of a software tool able to detect emerging trends in the R&D landscape for the Future and Emerging Technology (FET) team of the EC. 
  • Epiconcept, member of Cap Digital, has been selected to participate in PANDEM-2. This H2020 project aims to reinforce the preparation and answers of the EU to future pandemics by training pandemics managers at a European scale, but also better plan the management of essential resources.
  • Supported by Cap Digital within the Roliner project, the start-up Unhindr has just won £500K funding from Innovate UK to proceed the development of its wearable robotics innovation.
