UNICEF, WHO, IFRC and MSF announce a global Ebola vaccine stockpile

The stockpile will allow countries, with the support of humanitarian organizations, to contain future Ebola epidemics by ensuring timely access to vaccines for populations at risk during outbreaks. The stockpile is stored in Switzerland and ready to be shipped to countries for emergency response.

The UNICC Common Secure Information Security Hub, a cybersecurity centre for inter-agency collaboration, allows subscribers to prepare for, respond to and mitigate risks, creating a reputation for cyber-excellence and strengthening the overall cyber posture of the United Nations family, as well as each of its individual organizations.

New patient-friendly tuberculosis preventive treatment to be rolled out in five high-burden TB countries at an affordable price

Thanks to the Unitaid IMPAACT4TB project, the rollout of an all-new combination of drugs is underway in five high-burden tuberculosis countries in Africa, reducing the number of pills for people needing the treatment from nine to three every week. The project targets 12 countries, providing enough treatments for up to 3 million patients this year.
