ASC Graduate Studies Working Group |
Please share with faculty and staff.
The College of Arts and Sciences is convening the Graduate Studies Working Group to think creatively and collectively about how we can improve recruitment, student support, and preparation for professional careers. The working group will have twelve members, with equal representation from the college’s three divisions. The group is not expected to work in isolation and will collect information from all units in the college to identify both commonalities across units and unique features of graduate programs that may not benefit from current policies and standard practices. |

Request Manager Liaison Initiator security role in Workday |
In response to early feedback from managers, the College of Arts and Sciences would like to offer the expanded use of the Manager Liaison Initiator security role in Workday. This security role is assigned by supervisory organization and enables a staff member to initiate HR transactions on behalf of a manager. You may recall that assigning Manager Liaison Initiator access was initially limited to chairs, center directors and managers of GAs and lecturers. At this time, we would like to open this up to allow departments to request Manager Liaison access for support of any faculty manager (including those supervising UG student assistants and staff). If your unit would like to request additional Manager Liaison Initiator security access to be assigned to a member of your department staff to support managers, please reach out to your assigned HR Consultant to initiate this security access request. |
