Advancing AFS' Social Impact with New Virtual Program

Our newest virtual exchange program, AFS Global You Changemaker, offered together with Ivy League University of Pennsylvania, is here. It is a one-of-a-kind, 12-week virtual program using an advanced curriculum focusing on social impact in addition to global competence. Students that complete the program receive an official certificate from the University of Pennsylvania. Enrollment is open for all four 2021 cohorts.

Read More About the INT Budget and Service Changes

The BoT approved the revised 2021 budget. There were high expectations in the Network about cost reductions at INT and the revised budget includes additional significant cuts for a total of USD 617k. The reduction in the total fees payable to Core and Change (Partnership Fee, Network Management Fee, NSIF) is -48% (-3M) compared to 2019 and -22% (-1M) compared to 2020.

AFS International scheduled 15 Dialogue Sessions between Partner Directors, Partner Chairs, and Trustees on behalf of the Board of Trustees in small groups. These sessions offered a space to openly discuss challenges, opportunities, and priorities at the Network -, INT -, and local level.
