A word from the Regional Executive
Hi all,
We’re sending out our first newsletter a bit late this year since it’s already February, but welcome to
2021. This year we’re hoping to bring things back a little closer to normal after everything that
happened in 2020.
Planning is underway for the summer Solo season, and in the short term we have RallyCross events
scheduled on the ice at Big Lake over the next 2 months. Unfortunately we had to cancel our first two
RallyCross events in January because we did not have enough competitors signed up to safely hold the
event, but we have another event coming up this Saturday February 13. Registration can be found at
msreg.com/2021-AKRX-3, come on out!
And as always, if you have comments, complaints, or suggestions feel free to reach out to me or any of
our board members.

RallyCross Summary
Hey Rallycrossers,
I'm hoping you all have recovered from the 7 event mini series that was held at the Fairgrounds. It was a lot of fun to see the rallycross program grow. I'm excited that the events at the fairgrounds are going to be a regular staple for the Regions Rallycross Program. Below are the Class Winners who will be receiving a trophy from the Region. It's been a pleasure serving at the Regions Rallycross Steward for the past few years as we revitalize our program and I'm certain that things will continue under the direction of its new steward Kent Hamilton.

Autocross Planning
Chad Barnes has organize the autocross committee for this year, and we are getting our schedule together for the 2021 summer season. While we are still waiting to hear back from several venues, we have reserved our Alaska Raceway Park for the weekend of April 17th and 18th for our first events. As always, we welcome anybody that would help to work on events- whether it is course design, helping to ferry out the equipment, working at timing and scoring, becoming a Solo Safety Steward, or getting folks checked in.
We'll keep you updated as more venues respond and the schedule fills in.
