President’s Message

Hi Everyone

Thank you to all who attended and helped out at PB Classic 2 Day!
What a great day out it was.  We hope you and your little athletes enjoyed it and everyone managed to get some PB's.
You should see results and PB's on your family portal now.  If you think your child broke a club record, please let me know (president@adelaideharriers.org.au) as these don't automatically flow through from Results Hq.

We have program 2 this week.

All programs can be found in the drop down menu at:
Calendar + Program | Adelaide Harriers Athletics

We have added 800m to all age groups U9 and above for tonight, so they can practice for Toyota State Combined Event Championship next weekend.

As previously, can we have oldest to youngest athletes for the hurdles.  It is easier to take them away than put more up as the night goes on.

If possible, please give your longer distance athletes time to recover from their run/walk before going off your next event.  Ideally, it is good if the group can support these athletes at the beginning of the meet.

Good luck to all athletes competing in the Toyota State Combined Event Championship!
Parents, look out for the volunteer sign up next week.

We have just under two weeks left to get nominations in for the State Challenge and State Individual Championships!
Enter through Results Hq by selecting the 3 bars on the top right, then Nominations. You will see a box saying 'begin nominations' where you can begin selecting events.
See more information below.

Just a reminder about shot put and discus. The rings by the club house are to be used by U6-U9 athletes.  Older age groups should use the eastern end rings.  We have spray painted the two near the clubhouse so you know which is for shot put only, and which is for discus only.

NEW LOG IN for Comp Hq
I have made a new log in:
littleharriers20+U6-U17@gmail.com
This one will allow you to see all age group events.

Please note this log in can only be used on mobile Comp Hq devices.  See the image of the Comp Hq app below.  This is the one we use at the Friday meets to see programmes and enter results.

(Results Hq is the one you use at home with your family account to follow the progress of your athlete and register for events.)

"This unique State Championship (previously known as the State Multi-Event Championships) has a set program that athletes participate in to gain points for each performance, with the top three overall highest points scorers presented with medals in each age group.

There is a mixture of running, jumping and throwing events, displaying athlete’s all-round athletic ability. Athletes in the Under 9 to Under 13 age groups compete over one day in a pentathlon (5 events), with the Under 14 age group competing over two days in a hexathlon (6 events) and the Under 15 to Under 17 age groups competing over two days in a heptathlon (7 events). All events are competed at the SA Athletics Stadium.

This Championship is also where the Under 15 State Team athletes are provisionally selected to represent South Australia at the Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC). CLICK HERE for more information.

Show us what you’ve got and challenge yourself in the ultimate test of athletic ability at the State Combined Event Championships!"

The State Challenge is one of the main events on the Little Athletics SA Competition Calendar.
It is a great opportunity for athletes who have not quite qualified for event’s in the SIC’s to compete in a Championship styled competition at the SA Athletics Stadium.

This year, the qualifying process has changed for both competitions. Please view the Qualification Guide to find out more! To nominate for these competition’s, athletes must meet certain qualifying criteria and achieve a “quota” for the SIC’s. A quota is a fixed number of athletes that will be able to be entered into each event.

Athletes can nominate in up to five (5) events between the two competitions. Depending on their qualification status and quota positions, some of those events may be in the State Individuals and some may be in the State Challenge – they are guaranteed a place in each event they nominate for in one of the Competitions.

Eligibility requirements: Athletes must be registered with an affiliated Little Athletics SA Centre by no later than Tuesday 31st December 2020 and have competed in 20 events at their registered centre's meets to be eligible to participate in this State Competition.
