Weekly News
Dear friends,
This Sunday is the 6th in Ordinary Time. In the Gospel passage this week Jesus heals a leper. Leprosy in 1st century Palestine was not only a terrible skin disease but also made the sufferer ritually unclean and so an outcast from society. By healing a leper Jesus not only cures his physical illness but finds a way for him to be included back into society. And so as Christians we are called to be agents of Christ's healing and to look out for the forgotten and despised in our society. Click here for the scripture readings.
