Promising way to diagnose cancer in blood
 
Current methodologies to screen for cancer, like scans and tissue biopsies, are time-consuming, expensive and invasive. Blood-based liquid biopsies may enable minimally-invasive tumor diagnostics and therapy monitoring. Myron Best and Nik Sol developed a unique methodology to read the genetic material of blood platelets, a novel, promising way to diagnose cancer in an early stage in blood.

Apply for the Amsterdam UMC Fellowship
 

The Amsterdam UMC Fellowship consists of a maximum of €750,000 for five years. The award can be spent on salary of the applicant, a PhD student and bench fee. The fellowship includes a tenure track with the possibility to acquire a tenured position after five years. Deadlne: March 26, noon.
