Das Coronavirus hat die Welt leider nach wie vor fest im Griff und es ist im Moment noch nicht absehbar, wann wir wieder in den normalen Alltag zurückkehren können.
Aus diesem Grund lädt das IRO Ausbildungsreferat unter der Leitung von Jerneja Ternovec zu einem Online-Meeting für Richteranwärter ein.

Der IRO Fährtenkurs für Anfänger, welcher von 09. – 11.04.2021 in Schöneben stattgefunden hätte, wird auf ein späteres Datum verschoben.
Ein Ersatztermin wird voraussichtlich Ende März bekannt gegeben.

Reklassifizierung: MRT T & FL
|
|
|
Da aufgrund der COVID-19 Situation im Jahr 2020 keine MRT Reklassifizierungen durchgeführt werden konnten, hat der IRO Vorstand beschlossen, die Gültigkeit der 2018 bestandenen MRT T und FL um ein Jahr bis 2021 zu verlängern.

Helden im Einsatz: Explosion in Wohnhaus

Sechs Verletzte und einen Toten forderte die Explosion in einem Mehrparteienhaus in Langenzersdorf (AT), die sich am Morgen des 29. Jänners 2021 ereignet hatte. Mehrere Stockwerke wurden durch die Detonation zerstört. Ein Großaufgebot an Einsatzkräften war vor Ort, darunter auch Rettungshundeteams der IRO Mitgliedsorganisation SKV-KHD.

Online Frage-Antwort-Runde
|
|
Wegen der Coronapandemie ist Hundetraining immer noch nur beschränkt möglich. Wir möchten die Zeit dennoch sinnvoll nutzen: Hundeführer haben ab sofort die Gelegenheit, monatlich innerhalb einer Frage-Antwort-Runde trainingsrelevante Fragen zu den Sparten T, FL, F, L oder der IPO-R 2019 zu stellen. In dieser zweistündigen Online-Session geht jeweils ein IRO Experte auf diese Fragen ein.
Die erste Session findet am Samstag, 27.02.2021, 10.00 Uhr (MEZ) statt.
Bitte schickt eure Fragen für die erste Session unter Angabe von Namen und NRO bis spätestens 17.02.2021 an die office@iro-dogs.org.

Über uns: Luise, die hundeverliebte Allrounderin
|
|
|
Luise ist im November 2017 als Praktikantin bei der Internationalen Rettungshunde Organisation eingestiegen und unterstützt seit 2018 als Teamassistentin insbesondere die Referate Ausbildung, Einsatz sowie Marketing & PR.
Kein Arbeitstag ist für Luise wie der andere, dennoch gibt es bestimmte Aufgaben, denen sie sich regelmäßig widmet: Update Jahresplan, Inhaltspflege der IRO Website, Bearbeitung von Anmeldungen (MRT, Freies Training) sowie Verwaltung von Prüfungsergebnissen. Wenn sie dann noch Zeit findet, greift sie den Kolleginnen bei der Spenderverwaltung unter die Arme. Eben diese Vielfalt sowie das internationale Umfeld sind jene Aspekte, die Luise ganz besonders begeistern.
Und ganz nebenbei steht sie kurz vor dem Abschluss ihres Masterstudiums der Kommunikationswissenschaft. Mit ihrer sprachlichen Gewandtheit und ihrer Frohnatur bereichert sie das IRO Team sehr. Auch unsere Hunde lieben sie innig, werden sie doch regelmäßig von ihr im Büro bespaßt. Bei so viel Hundeliebe ist es nur noch eine Frage der Zeit, bis ein flauschiger Vierbeiner in ihr Leben tritt 😃

|
|
The IRO Tracking Course for Beginners, which would have taken place from 09. – 11.04.2021 in Schöneben, will be postponed to a later date.
An alternative date will most likely be announced at the end of March.

As no MRT reclassifications could be carried out in 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation, the IRO Executive Board decided to prolong the validity of the MRT T and FL passed in 2018 for one year until 2021.

Heroes in action: Residential building explosion
|

Six people were injured and one person died in an explosion in a multi-apartment building in Langenzersdorf (AT), which occurred in the morning of 29 January 2021. Several floors were destroyed by the detonation. A large contingent of rescue workers was deployed to the scene, including search and rescue dog teams of the IRO member organisation SKV-KHD.

Online Q&A session

|
Due to the corona pandemic, dog training is still only possible to a limited extent. Nevertheless, we would like to use the time wisely: From now on, dog handlers have the opportunity to ask training-relevant questions regarding T, FL, F, L or the IPO-R 2019 during a monthly question and answer session. In each of this two-hour online sessions, an IRO expert will address these questions.
The first session will take place on Saturday, 27.02.2021, 10 a.m. (CET).
Please send your questions for the first session, including your name and NRO, to office@iro-dogs.org by 17.02.2021 at the latest.

Meet the team: Luise the dog-loving allrounder
|
|
|
|
Luise joined the International Search and Rescue Dog Organisation as an intern in November 2017 and has been supporting the Training, Deployment and Marketing & PR departments as a team assistant since 2018.
No two workdays are the same for Luise, but there are certain tasks she dedicates herself to on a regular basis: updating the annual plan, maintaining the content of the IRO website, processing registrations (MRT, Open Training) and managing test results. If she finds time, she helps her colleagues with the administration of donors, too. It is precisely this diversity and the international environment that Luise is particularly enthusiastic about.
And by the way, she is about to complete her master's degree in communication studies. With her linguistic fluency and her cheerful nature, she enriches the IRO team very much. Our dogs also love her dearly, as she regularly pets them in the office. With so much dog love, it's only a matter of time before a fluffy four-legged friend enters her life 😃
